Blackpool Photography Competition: Share Your View of Our Town
We’re inviting people in Blackpool to take part in a photography competition that highlights what makes Blackpool unique. Whether it’s an iconic landmark, some nature, people on a bustling high street, or an everyday moment, we want to see Blackpool through your lens.

What we’re looking for
Send us photos of the places, people, and details that capture the spirit of Blackpool. This could be a favourite café, a quiet green space, or the view from your daily walk. It’s about showcasing the parts of Blackpool that matter to you.

How to enter
  • Take a high-quality photo of something that represents Blackpool to you.
  • Write a brief description explaining why you chose this picture or topic.
  • Email your photo, description, name, and contact details to hello@blackpooldesigncode.com
If you’re under 18 or submitting through a school, please include your teacher’s or guardian’s contact details.

Important details
  • Deadline: 5pm, Friday January 31st 2025.
  • Selection: The submissions will be reviewed by New Practice, part of the consultancy team appointed to develop the Blackpool Design Code. Selected photos will be considered for inclusion in the Blackpool Design Code, and three winners will each receive a £50 gift voucher to enhance their photography journey.
  • What happens next: Selected entries will be included within the Blackpool Design Code with credit to each photographer, helping to illustrate the wealth of buildings and spaces of importance to local people.
This competition is open to all ages and photography abilities. Whether you’re an experienced photographer or just enjoy snapping pictures, we’re looking forward to seeing what makes Blackpool special to you.
Terms & Conditions
1. This prize competition is organised by New Practice of 3 Ross Street, Glasgow, G1 5AR, registered in Scotland with registration number: SC 623 648

How to enter
2. Entries received after the stated closing date will not be accepted.

3. This prize competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary

4. New Practice will not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

5. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, please contact info@new-practice.co.uk

6. New Practice reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

Eligibility
7. Unless otherwise stated, this prize competition is open to all except employees of New Practice, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.

8. Entrants under 18 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.

9. Multiple entries per person are permitted, but each entrant will only be eligible for the award of one prize.

10. In entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. New Practice may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw or competition.

11. New Practice reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw or competition.

The Draw
12. Winners will be selected by a panel of New Practice judges within one month of the prize competition ending.

13. The winner will receive details of the prize.

14. The winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within 7 days of being chosen and must provide an email address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to New Practice within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and New Practice will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

15. The prize will be sent to the winner within 14 days of responding to New Practice.

16. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. New Practice reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the New Practice's control makes it necessary to do so.

17. The decision of New Practice regarding any aspect of the prize competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

18. New Practice reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

Limitation of liability
19. Insofar as is permitted by law, New Practice, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of New Practice, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Data protection and publicity
20. New Practice is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and New Practice's Privacy Policy which is available here.

21. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by New Practice or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.

Governing law
22. All our prize draws and competitions will be governed by Scottish law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

25. New Practice reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website.
